Bible Text: Mark 9:38-50 | Jesus, being quite dramatic, suggests that it would be better for us to enter life maimed than to go to hell with hands, feet and eyes intact. Of course, He is not suggesting that we amputate our physical limbs, but suggesting that carving out of our lives the things that cause us to sin is both difficult and necessary.
