Interim Rector, The Rev. Susan Davidson
The Reverend Susan Davidson is a priest of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut and Licensed to serve in the Diocese of Central Florida. She was ordained to the Priesthood in 1995 and has served as Rector, Vicar, or Priest in Charge at churches in the Dioceses of Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Connecticut, and Central Florida. Susan and her husband, Dr. Jerry Davidson (our Music Director at St. John’s) have two adult sons and three adult grandchildren.

Dr. Jerry Davidson, Organist and Choir Master
Jerry holds degrees from the University of Arkansas, New York’s Union Theological Seminary, Northwestern University, and the American Guild of Organists, and has served as Assoc. Dean and professor of Church Music at Louisiana State University. He has directed notable church music programs in Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Louisiana, and New Jersey.
Jerry and his wife, the Rev. Susan Davidson, have been residents of Melbourne for three years.
Jackie Bond, Office Assistant
Jackie Bond serves as St. John’s Administrative Assistant, working on a variety of tasks related to Sunday bulletins, parish newsletters, coordinating volunteers, supporting the Vestry needs and other project related responsibilities. She is beyond dependable and reliable.
Jackie is normally in the church office Thursday mornings.
Carole Taylor, Bookkeeper
St. John’s bookkeeper is Carole Taylor. She is responsible for recording all income and expense information, preparing checks, and other related tracking tasks. She is always ready to help.
Ray McClendon, Sexton
Ray McClendon is St. John’s sexton, responsible for opening and closing the facility on Sunday mornings as well as evening security checks during the week. We greatly appreciate his watchful eye.
