Bible Text: John 20:19-31 | Thomas gets panned a the great “doubter” but I think his doubt was good and appropriate. What was being claimed was truly stunning and unprecedented, so one should require some proof and he understood that the implications were monumental — another reason to seek certainty. And, in the end, Thomas doubted in order to know, not just to be a cynic.
