Joining St. John’s

Once you have been participating in worship at St. John’s, it is our hope that you will want to formally become a member.

Overview:  If you currently are a member of an Episcopal parish elsewhere, you can call the office to arrange for us to contact them to transfer your membership.  If you come from a Catholic or Orthodox tradition, we invite you to consider being `received’ formally into the Episcopal Church when our bishop makes his annual regular visit. If you were baptized in any other Christian tradition, we request that you attend our Confirmation classes and be confirmed when our bishop makes his annual visit.   Click here for a Membership Request form.   Click here for more information on reception and adult confirmation.

A:  If you have not been Baptized in a Christian Church (of any denomination):  We offer the sacrament of Baptism.  Please contact the church office at 321-254-3365 or [email protected] for more information.

B:  If you have been a confirmed member of another Episcopal Church:  We would be pleased to request a “Letter of Transfer” from that parish.  Please download and complete the “Membership Request Form” from the link below.

C:  If you have been a confirmed member of a Catholic or Orthodox Church, you do not need to be baptized or confirmed again:  You can simply be “Received.”  This ritual is performed by the bishop on his visitation, and some classes for preparation are required.  Please contact the church office for schedule information.  In the meantime, please download and complete the “Membership Request Form” from the link below.

D:  If you have been a Baptized member of another church, but never confirmed, you can be “Confirmed” into the Episcopal Church:  This ritual is performed by the bishop on his visitation, and some classes for preparation are required.  Please contact the church office for schedule information.  In the meantime, please download and complete the “Membership Request Form” from the link below.
