In response to the latest changes from the CDC, we now have modified policies regarding COVID. These updated guidelines take effect May 23, 2021.
Masks are now optional. Unvaccinated persons are strongly encouraged to wear a mask, as well as those who may be medically vulnerable, but this will be on the honor system.
We will continue to social distance in the sanctuary, so half of the pews will continue to be marked off.
We will continue to have Communion in bread only and the priest and lay reader will bring it to you in your pews. Clergy and lay readers will be masked and use hand sanitizer for this process.
People will no longer be asked to sign in on a contact tracing register.
We are now permitted to serve food or beverages prepared here. We will continue to have a reception following the service outside with bottled water, and will begin to include coffee with this. When the weather requires it, we will move into the parish hall.
Passing of the Peace is now permitted, including hand shaking and hugging, but please be very sensitive to those who do not wish close contact. This must never be forced on anyone.
The Diocesan Guidelines taking effect May 23, 2021 are here.
